여느 날처럼 산책하러 남산에 올랐다. 유난히 맑은 날이었다.남산 N서울타워에는 미세먼지가 하나도 없는 날에만 켜진다는 파란빛이 들어왔다.저 멀리 떨어진 롯데월드타워가 눈앞에 있는 듯 선명했다.갑자기 찾아온 추위가 먼지를 꽁꽁 얼려 공기는 투명한 얼음 같았다. 때마침 매일 사진을 기록하는 5:55을 1분 앞두고 사진 명당이라는 ‘잠두봉 포토 아일랜드’에 도착했다.연말의 금요일 밤, 쏟아져나온 불빛들로 서울의 야경이 하얀 눈처럼 반짝였다.어디를 찍어도 아름다운 풍경이었다.10초 전 가장 아름다운 곳을 향해 스마트폰 카메라를 가져다 댔다.비로소 5:55가 되고 셔터를 누르려던 순간, 스마트폰이 꺼졌다.켜보려고 했지만, 다시 전원이 들어오지 않았다.오래된 스마트폰이 추위를 이기지 못하고 배터리를 탕진해버린 것이..

일과를 마친 네가 마을버스 정류장에 서서 퇴근을 기다린다.쏟아지는 열기에도 아랑곳하지 않고 업무 인계를 잘 끝냈다.얼굴색은 좀 변했지만, 아침의 모습 그대로 품위를 지켰다.퇴근 버스만 잘 타면 이제 편히 쉴 수 있다. 나이테가 어린 나무들도 겨울에는 나뭇잎을 모두 떨군다.지금 그대로 빼빼 마른 너도 참 예쁘다. Even trees with fewer growth rings drop all their leaves in the winter. The branches of dry and thin trees look just as pretty.
