방울토마토

이웃 아주머니와 함께 상자 텃밭을 마련했다.

각자 상추 모종 두 포기와 치커리 모종 두 포기를 심었다.

게으름뱅이인 나는 상추와 치커리가 마구 자라도록 내버려두었다.

어느 날 성질 급한 이웃 아주머니는 모조리 수확해서 가져다주시고는,

본인의 텃밭 상자에 고추와 방울토마토를 심으셨다.

내게도 같이 심자고 권유하셨지만, 귀찮은 나는 손사래를 쳤다.

자란 듯 만 듯했던 방울토마토는

오늘 나 보란 듯이 노란 꽃을 활짝 피웠다.

부럽다.

게으름뱅이의 상자 텃밭에는 아직도 따먹지 않은 상추가 손바닥보다 크게 널브러져 자라고 있다.

I prepared a large pot with my neighbor's aunt.

We planted two lettuce and two chicory varieties.

Lazy I let lettuce and chicory grow wild.

One day the hot-tempered neighbor harvested all of it and brought it to me,

and she planted chili peppers and cherry tomatoes in her pot.

She asked me to plant it together, but I refused because I was annoyed.

The cherry tomatoes, which were not likely to grow, bloomed yellow flower today.

I envy her.

The lettuce grows wild in my lazy pot.
